CINCINNATI -- After speculation that the Brewers might decide to give him an extra day of rest, Chris Narveson officially has been cleared to make his scheduled start on Thursday.
Narveson threw a career-high 130 pitches in just 5 2/3 innings on Saturday, prompting the Brewers to consider pushing him back in the rotation.
Narveson threw long toss on Monday at Great American Ball Park and has been getting additional work in with the training staff. Brewers manager Ken Macha gave Narveson the thumbs-up on Monday.
"I feel great," said Narveson. "The trainers did a great job with my workouts. I took it a little bit easy in the bullpen. I've just been trying to stretch things out."
