MILWAUKEE -- The Brewers announced four finalists for their "Create a Concession" contest and are letting fans choose which new menu item will debut at Miller Park in 2011.
Through Feb. 3, fans can cast a vote online
for one of four items submitted by Wisconsin chefs, each of which will be available for sampling at Sunday's "Brewers On Deck" event in Milwaukee:
Chicken Parmesan Sandwich, sent in by Chris Fifarek of Wauwatosa.
Klement's Famous Racing Sausage Kabobs, sent in by Courtney Ring of Sauk City.
Poutine with Cheese Curds, sent in by Chris Stoa of Milwaukee.
Tilapia Fish Tacos, sent in by Tim Tracz of Hales Corners
More than 1,300 home chefs submitted an idea for the contest, and the four finalists were selected last week by a tasting panel that included Brewers general manager Doug Melvin.
Fan balloting will continue through 11:59 p.m. CT on Feb. 3. The winning recipe will be announced on Feb. 9 and will be on sale at Miller Park throughout the 2011 season.
The winner will receive four tickets to the Brewers' home opener against the Braves as well as an opportunity to throw out the first pitch at a Brewers game during the 2011 season and to watch the Brewers take batting practice from the field. The other three finalists will receive a prize package that includes game tickets, an autographed personalized jersey and an autographed baseball from a player. One lucky online voter will be selected to receive the same prize package as the contest finalists.
