PHOENIX -- The Brewers added some depth to their Minor League outfield ranks Tuesday by acquiring Brett Carroll from Kansas City for cash considerations. The Royals announced the swap Tuesday night.
Carroll spent parts of the past four seasons with the Marlins, batting .205 (58-for-283) with five home runs and 28 RBIs in 173 games.
The Royals signed the 28-year old as a free agent on Nov. 16, 2010. He was a non-roster invitee to Kansas City's spring camp and went 0-for-15 in Cactus League games.
