MILWAUKEE -- The Brewers have hired a full-time replacement for Gary Vanden Berg, the longtime director of grounds at County Stadium and Miller Park who died last year following a battle with cancer.
New to the job is Justin Scott, who spent the last five seasons as the Royals' manager of groundskeeping and oversaw a full-field renovation at Kauffman Stadium. Scott also assisted with preparations for the 2009 All-Star Game in St. Louis.
Scott graduated from the University of Missouri in 2004 with a B.S. in Plant Science/Turfgrass Management. He and his wife, Laura, will relocate to the Milwaukee area.
