Braun eager to see Fielder in Derby
MILWAUKEE -- Brewers All-Star Ryan Braun said he is particularly excited to see Prince Fielder swing for the American League squad in the Home Run Derby. Fielder, the AL's starting first baseman, was named part of captain Robinson Cano's Derby team.

Braun called Fielder the new Ken Griffey Jr., a former Derby favorite.

"He's had a lot of success in Home Run Derbys," said Braun of Fielder. "He obviously hits a lot of home runs every season, but he's kind of a veteran of the Home Run Derby now. I think he's becoming like the Griffey of our generation, a guy that seems like he's in it every year and has a chance to win it every year. It seems like he has a solid strategy."

Braun is not part of the National League team for the Derby, which includes captain Matt Kemp of the Dodgers, Giancarlo Stanton of the Marlins, Carlos Gonzalez of the Rockies and Carlos Beltran of the Cardinals.
