PHILADELPHIA -- If all goes well, catcher Jonathan Lucroy could rejoin the Brewers when they return home to play the Nationals on Thursday.
Lucroy, who went on the 15-day disabled list May 28 with a fracture fifth metacarpal in his right hand, will continue his rehab assignment with games on Tuesday and Wednesday with Triple-A Nashville.
Before Monday's series opener against the Phillies, manager Ron Roenicke said he spoke to Lucroy and the catcher has "felt good in the four games he's played, but he hasn't felt great" regarding his timing at the plate. Lucroy is 4-for-12 with a double and two RBIs in his rehab assignment.
"I still told him that I want him, when he comes back, to feel that he is going to be productive when he steps in the batter's box," Roenicke said. "And as long as he feels like he's productive doing that, we can activate him."
