MILWAUKEE -- After the Brewers play their final inning of 2012, second baseman Rickie Weeks plans to jump on the Oakland A's bandwagon.

His younger brother, Jemile, is in his second season as an A's infielder, and depending on whether he makes Oakland's postseason roster, Rickie said he planned to travel to see that team play. The A's completed a remarkable run to the American League West title by finishing a sweep of the Rangers on Wednesday afternoon, a game aired on the clubhouse televisions at Miller Park.

"I had a couple of places I planned to be at, but I'm going to follow them as much as I can," Rickie Weeks said. "It's cool. I'm definitely going to be a fan. He had a chance to come last year, and I brought him in the clubhouse a couple of times, and it's cool that now he's in the same situation this year.

"He's family. We're a pretty tight-knit group, and to see him live out his dream is pretty cool."
