Aramis progressing in rehab from knee sprain

MILWAUKEE -- Aramis Ramirez made some slight turns while running in the outfield Monday as he continued his rehab from a sprained left knee suffered sliding into second base on April 5.

Ramirez plans on running the bases Tuesday, and he could return some time this week.

"He's been pushing it and the next day he's not coming up sore, so that's a good thing," manager Ron Roenicke said Monday.

Roenicke said Ramirez "is still a little awkward" running side to side and while stopping after running hard.

"He's itching to get at it," he said. "I don't think it will be that much longer."

Meanwhile, left-hander Chris Narveson played catch on Sunday for the second consecutive day in his rehab from a sprained ligament in his left middle finger. Roenicke said Narveson wouldn't return for a while and would go on a rehab assignment before joining the Brewers.
