MILWAUKEE -- Outfielder Jim Edmonds returned from a four-day absence and served as the Brewers' designated hitter on Saturday and went 2-for-4 with a run scored. He's been getting treatment for a strained left hamstring but remains an option -- along with Corey Hart and Jody Gerut -- to start in right field on Opening Day. Manager Ken Macha said he might not make his decision until a few hours before game time. "There's so much drama because it's Opening Day," Macha said. "If Corey continues to swing well, maybe he'll be in there."
Hart left Arizona in a 1-for-29 slump but had two hits on Friday night and two more on Saturday, boosting his spring batting average 49 points in two days to .172. He has started the past three Opening Days for the Brewers.
